First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding shock wave therapy to usual treatments (like exercise and physical therapy) can better reduce pain and disability in people with chronic low back pain. About 44 adults with pain lasting over three months will receive either standard care alone or standard care plus shock wave therapy. Researchers will also use ultrasound to see if the treatment changes muscle stiffness and structure.
