Estrogen patches may cool hot flashes for men battling prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT07466498

Summary

This study aims to see if adding estrogen patches to standard prostate cancer drugs can reduce treatment side effects and improve quality of life. It will involve 60 men whose prostate cancer has spread and who are starting hormone-blocking therapy. Researchers will compare two groups: one gets standard care, and the other gets standard care plus estrogen patches, to see which better manages symptoms like hot flashes, fatigue, and bone health issues.
