First seen Nov 24, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This small study looks at whether treating inflammation in the esophagus with proton pump inhibitors (acid-reducing drugs) improves the organ's ability to stretch and function. Researchers will measure flexibility in both the upper and lower esophagus before and after treatment in 10 adults with eosinophilic esophagitis. The goal is to better understand how inflammation affects esophagus movement and how treatment may help.
