First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at past medical records to see if people with esophageal cancer do better at hospitals that treat many cases versus those that treat fewer. Researchers will compare survival rates between high-volume (more than 5 surgeries per year) and low-volume (less than 5 surgeries per year) hospitals. The goal is to understand if hospital experience matters for patient outcomes.
