New drug combo aims to spare patients major esophagus surgery

NCT ID NCT07317609

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of cancer drugs can shrink tumors enough to allow doctors to remove early-stage esophageal cancer using a less invasive, tube-based procedure instead of major surgery. The goal is to preserve the esophagus and avoid a large operation. The study will enroll 60 adults with early-stage esophageal cancer to see if this approach is safe and feasible.
