Can Patient-Reported symptoms transform recovery after cancer surgery?

NCT ID NCT07211009

Summary

This study is testing whether a new system for tracking patient-reported symptoms after esophageal cancer surgery works better than standard care. It will involve 240 patients in China who have had surgery to remove their cancer. The goal is to see if actively monitoring and managing symptoms reported by patients leads to fewer complications, better quality of life, and fewer hospital visits after surgery.
