Hungarian study aims to unlock secrets of esophageal cancer survival

Summary

This study follows 100 people in Hungary newly diagnosed with esophageal or stomach-junction cancer. Researchers will use non-invasive tests, blood biomarkers, and questionnaires to track changes in heart function, nutrition, physical ability, and mental health before and after surgery. The goal is to identify factors that can be improved to help patients live longer and feel better, but no new treatments are being tested.
