Cancer trial questions: more chemo or less?
NCT ID NCT03301454
Summary
This study aimed to find out if continuing chemotherapy helps people with advanced esophageal cancer that hasn't gotten worse after initial treatment. All participants received 6 weeks of chemotherapy first. Those whose cancer hadn't progressed were then randomly assigned to either continue chemotherapy or stop it and receive supportive care only. The trial was terminated early after enrolling 15 people.
