Therapy boosts depression breakthrough? study tests new support for esketamine treatment
NCT ID NCT07369102
Summary
This study is testing whether adding special therapy sessions before and after esketamine treatment helps people with severe depression that hasn't responded to other medications. Twenty adults will receive the FDA-approved nasal spray, with half also getting structured support sessions to help them prepare for and process the experience. Researchers want to see if this combination leads to stronger, longer-lasting improvements in mood and daily functioning.
