Nasal spray could rapidly lift teen depression and suicidal urges

Summary
This study tests whether a nasal spray containing esketamine, given alongside standard care, can quickly reduce symptoms of major depression and suicidal thoughts in teenagers. About 258 adolescents with acute suicidal thoughts will receive either the active spray or a placebo that causes similar sensations. The main goal is to see if depression scores improve within 24 hours and last through 25 days.
