NCT ID NCT05967741

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at how a common sweetener, erythritol, affects blood clotting and blood vessel inflammation. About 24 adults with a BMI of 27 or higher will drink beverages sweetened with erythritol or aspartame for two weeks each. Researchers will measure changes in blood markers to see if erythritol makes platelets more active or increases inflammation.
