Summary

This study tested whether ertugliflozin, a diabetes drug, can reduce fluid congestion in people with heart failure. 28 adults with reduced heart pumping function took the drug or a placebo in a crossover design. The goal was to see if the drug removes fluid from tissues without lowering blood volume, which could improve symptoms safely.
