First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a daily supplement of ergothioneine, a nutrient found in food, can raise low blood levels in people with kidney failure who are on dialysis. Dialysis removes waste but also removes helpful substances like ergothioneine. The study will measure levels in the blood of 28 participants to see if the supplement works.
