First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special nerve block (erector spinae plane block) can help people use fewer opioid painkillers after minimally invasive lower back surgery. About 48 adults having a specific type of spinal fusion will be randomly assigned to get the block or not. The main goal is to see how much opioid medication they need in the first 24 hours after surgery.
