First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested a nerve block called the Erector Spinae Plane Block (ESPB) to see if it helps with kidney stone pain. Five adults who already received one pain shot in the ER took part. Researchers measured whether they needed a second pain medication and how their pain changed. The goal was to find a better way to manage pain without extra drugs.
