Hidden link: chronic back pain and erectile dysfunction explored

NCT ID NCT07453628

Summary

This study aimed to understand how erectile dysfunction is related to pain, disease activity, and treatment in men with ankylosing spondylitis, a chronic inflammatory back disease. Researchers observed and compared 90 men across three groups: those on anti-TNF therapy, those on standard painkillers (NSAIDs), and healthy volunteers. The goal was to gather information, not to test a new treatment, to better understand this often-overlooked issue.
