First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at 292 people needing an ERCP, a procedure to open blocked bile ducts. Researchers compared two different guide wire lengths (short vs long) to see which one allows doctors to complete the procedure faster. They also tracked how often patients developed pancreatitis afterward. The goal was to find the better technique for routine use.
