First seen Jan 13, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether teaching patients about nutrition and following a specific fasting plan before knee replacement surgery can reduce thirst, nausea, and vomiting after the operation. About 72 adults having knee replacement will be split into two groups: one gets the special education and fasting plan, the other gets standard care. The goal is to see if the new approach helps patients recover more comfortably.
