Summary

This study tested a special care plan called Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) in 82 children aged 6-17 who had their appendix removed. The plan includes many steps before, during, and after surgery to help kids recover faster. Researchers measured how long children stayed in the hospital, their pain levels, and any complications. The goal was to see if ERAS could shorten hospital stays without increasing risks.
