First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving the blood thinner eptifibatide right after standard clot-busting therapy helps people who had a stroke 4.5 to 24 hours earlier. About 786 adults with moderate to severe stroke will be randomly assigned to receive eptifibatide or not. The goal is to see if more patients recover with little or no disability at 90 days.
