Frostbite drug trial aims to save fingers and toes

Summary

This study tests whether adding the drug epoprostenol to standard frostbite care can lower the number of amputations. About 66 adults with severe frostbite will receive either epoprostenol or a placebo through an IV. The goal is to see if the drug helps restore blood flow and save damaged tissue.
