Could less medicine save more lives after cardiac arrest?
NCT ID NCT03826524
Summary
This study is testing whether a lower total dose of the standard emergency drug epinephrine (adrenaline) leads to better survival for adults who suffer a specific type of cardiac arrest outside the hospital. Paramedics will randomly give eligible patients either the lower dose or the current standard higher dose during resuscitation. The main goal is to see if the lower dose helps more people survive to leave the hospital and improves their long-term brain function and quality of life.
