Summary

This study compared two seizure medications (brivaracetam and levetiracetam) as first treatments for children with newly diagnosed epilepsy. Researchers followed 102 children aged 1 month to 14 years to see which medication better stopped seizures and had fewer side effects. The goal was to help doctors choose the best starting treatment for children with epilepsy.
