New brain test could help epilepsy patients avoid risky surgery

NCT ID NCT06138808

Summary

This study is testing a new scoring system called the 5-SENSE score. The goal is to see how well this score can predict the exact spot in the brain where seizures begin, using information from standard pre-surgery tests. If successful, this tool could help doctors decide which patients truly need a more invasive brain monitoring procedure, potentially sparing others from that risk.
