First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at how bacteria in the gut and mouth are linked to different types of epilepsy and whether they affect how well seizure medicines work. Researchers will collect samples from 1500 people with newly diagnosed epilepsy and healthy volunteers. The goal is to find patterns that could one day help doctors choose the best medicine for each person based on their unique bacteria.
