New blood test aims to catch pancreatic cancer in diabetic patients
NCT ID NCT05188573
First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study was designed to check how well a new blood test can find hidden pancreatic cancer in people aged 50 and older who were recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The plan was to enroll 10,000 participants and give them the test; if the test suggested cancer, they would get an MRI to confirm. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
