New imaging agent could sharpen detection of common cancers
NCT ID NCT07400263
First seen Feb 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests a new radioactive tracer called [68Ga]Ga-PN-EpC1 that targets a protein (EpCAM) found on many epithelial tumors. About 30 adults with known or suspected epithelial tumors will receive the tracer and undergo a PET/CT scan before their planned biopsy or surgery. The goal is to see how well the scan finds tumor lesions and how safe the tracer is. Results will be compared with standard tissue analysis to determine if this imaging method can improve cancer diagnosis.
