New eye injection tested to protect vision during cataract surgery

NCT ID NCT05587205

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety of an experimental injection called EO2002 given during cataract surgery. The goal is to see if it can safely help protect the delicate inner layer of the cornea from damage that sometimes occurs after surgery. The study involves 32 adults with cataracts and a low cell count in that corneal layer.
