NCT ID NCT07441824
Summary
This study is testing whether pancreatic enzyme replacement pills can help patients who have lost significant weight after a severe pancreas attack (acute necrotizing pancreatitis). The trial will enroll 140 adults who have lost over 5% of their body weight and have significant pancreas damage. Participants will receive either the real enzyme pills or a placebo for 3 months to see if the treatment helps them regain weight and improve their overall health.
