Can enzyme pills reverse severe weight loss after pancreatitis?

Summary
This study is testing whether pancreatic enzyme supplements can help patients with severe acute pancreatitis regain lost weight and improve their nutrition. It will involve 188 adults who have lost more than 10% of their body weight due to a severe pancreas attack. Participants will receive either the real enzyme pills or identical-looking placebo pills for three months to see which group shows better improvement in body mass index (BMI).
