Could a pill ease the bloat for IBS sufferers?
NCT ID NCT07465562
Summary
This study is testing whether a dietary supplement containing digestive enzymes can help reduce bloating after meals in people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). About 300 adults with IBS will be randomly assigned to take the enzyme supplement along with a special low-FODMAP diet, or to follow the diet alone for two weeks. The main goal is to see if the supplement makes a noticeable difference in reducing the intensity of bloating.
