First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding real-time weather and air pollution information to a standard checklist can help emergency room doctors identify acute aortic syndrome (a life-threatening tear in the main artery) more accurately. Researchers will review medical records and environmental data from 580 adults who came to the ER with chest, back, or belly pain. The goal is to see if the combined approach improves early diagnosis.
