Scientists probe chemical link to rising birth defect in boys

NCT ID NCT04342026

Summary

This study aims to understand if exposure to certain chemicals in the environment or parents' workplaces is connected to a common birth defect in boys called cryptorchidism, or undescended testicles. Researchers will compare the chemical exposures of parents whose children have this condition with those whose children do not. The goal is to gather information to help identify potential environmental causes, not to provide treatment.
