New inhaler drug shows promise for COPD inflammation

Summary
This study tests whether a nebulized drug called ensifentrine can reduce inflammation in the lungs of people with COPD. About 56 adults aged 40-80 who smoke or have smoked will receive both the drug and a placebo at different times over 24 weeks. The main goal is to see changes in sputum cell counts, which indicate inflammation.
