Could a sweet root hold the key to beating tough depression?
NCT ID NCT05570110
Summary
This study is testing whether a compound from licorice root, called enoxolone, can help people with depression who have specific body markers linked to poor response to standard treatments. Researchers will give enoxolone or a placebo to 80 adults with depression and track their symptoms and these markers. The goal is to see if the treatment works better for people whose bodies show signs of treatment resistance.
