First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether enoxolone, a compound from licorice, can improve depression symptoms in people with unipolar depression. Researchers will check if certain biological markers (like hormone levels and blood pressure) predict who responds better to enoxolone versus a placebo. About 80 adults will take part, and the goal is to see if enoxolone eases depression and changes those markers.
