New hope for Hard-to-Treat stomach and esophageal cancers: enhertu trial targets patients with poor physical health

Summary
This study tests the drug Enhertu in people with newly diagnosed HER2-positive advanced cancer of the esophagus, stomach, or gastroesophageal junction who have limited physical function (ECOG score of 2). The goal is to see how well the drug shrinks tumors and what side effects occur. About 43 participants will receive Enhertu by IV every 3 weeks.
