First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at how to increase screening for Barrett's esophagus, a condition that can lead to esophageal cancer. Currently, fewer than 35% of at-risk patients get screened. Researchers will test whether simple reminders for doctors can improve screening rates in a large New Jersey healthcare system. About 3,000 adults with scheduled appointments will take part.
