Brighter light in colonoscopy could spot more dangerous growths

NCT ID NCT06979232

Summary

This study aims to see if a newer, enhanced white light used during colonoscopy helps doctors find more pre-cancerous growths (adenomas) than the standard white light. It will involve 800 adults aged 45-85 who are scheduled for a routine colonoscopy. Participants will be randomly assigned to have their procedure done with either the enhanced light or the standard light to directly compare detection rates.
