New heat technique fights returning liver cancer
NCT ID NCT07192172
Summary
This study tested a specialized heat treatment for liver cancer that had returned after a previous procedure. It involved 100 patients whose cancer came back after initial chemoembolization therapy. Doctors used a new type of electrode to deliver heat more effectively to the tumor, aiming to control its growth and prevent it from coming back locally.
