New recovery plan aims to get brain bleed patients home sooner and safer
NCT ID NCT07421453
Summary
This study is testing a new, standardized recovery plan for older adults who need surgery for a chronic subdural hematoma, a type of brain bleed. The plan includes guidance on treatment decisions, surgical techniques, and post-surgery care. Researchers will compare the new plan to past patient outcomes to see if it safely reduces the chance of the bleed returning and shortens hospital stays.
