Summary
This study tested a new catheter device designed to physically remove blood clots from the lungs, a condition called pulmonary embolism. It involved 177 adults with serious but not immediately life-threatening clots. The main goals were to see if the procedure was safe and if it successfully reduced strain on the heart soon after treatment.
