Scientists seek better way to gauge tiny Patients' energy needs
NCT ID NCT07462806
Summary
This study aims to test how well a special device can measure the energy used by critically ill babies and small children (under 10kg) in the intensive care unit. Researchers will observe 80 infants to see if the device works reliably and to understand their energy needs during illness. The goal is to gather better information to help guide nutritional care for these vulnerable patients.
