NCT ID NCT07547865

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study will use a device called an indirect calorimeter to measure how much energy critically ill patients in the ICU actually burn. Researchers want to see if this method is more accurate than standard formulas for guiding nutrition. The goal is to improve nutritional support for 187 adult patients who are stable enough for the measurement.
