Pre-Surgery energy drink challenge: can it beat a warming blanket?

NCT ID NCT06017076

Summary

This study tested whether drinking a special energy drink before a planned C-section works as well as a warming blanket to prevent drops in body temperature during anesthesia. Researchers randomly assigned 302 healthy pregnant women to receive either the drink or the blanket. They measured body temperature and other comfort factors to see if the simpler drink method was a good alternative.
