Doctors probe guts of Failing-to-Grow kids

NCT ID NCT07160387

Summary

This study aims to see how useful a camera inserted into the stomach and intestines (endoscopy) is for finding the cause when a child is not growing or gaining weight as expected. It will involve 50 children aged 6 months to 18 years who have poor weight gain and possible gut symptoms like vomiting or diarrhea. Researchers will check if what they see with the camera matches lab tests of tiny tissue samples to improve diagnosis.
