First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looked at two ways to perform a keyhole surgery for babies born with a fused skull bone (sagittal craniosynostosis). The surgery aims to allow the skull to grow into a more normal shape. Researchers compared the standard procedure with a version that includes extra cuts on the sides of the skull. The goal was to see which method gives better head shape and fewer complications. The study was stopped early after enrolling only 6 infants.
