Surgical precision: finding the right balance in cancer lymph node removal
NCT ID NCT07306195
Summary
This study compared two different approaches for removing lymph nodes during surgery for intermediate and high-risk endometrial cancer. Researchers wanted to determine whether removing more lymph nodes from a higher area (above a major artery) provides better cancer staging and outcomes compared to removing fewer nodes from a lower area. The study involved 150 women with endometrial cancer who were at intermediate or high risk of the cancer spreading to their lymph nodes.
