New brain shield tested during heart valve procedure to prevent strokes

Summary
This study tests a new device called the Encompass F2 Cerebral Protection System, designed to catch debris that might travel to the brain during a heart valve replacement procedure (TAVR). About 500 people getting TAVR will be randomly assigned to use this new device or standard care (no protection or an existing device). The goal is to see if the new device reduces strokes, kidney injury, and brain lesion volume.
