High-Tech chair aims to stop embarrassing leaks

NCT ID NCT04133675

Summary

This study is testing a special chair called Emsella to see if it can help people with stress urinary incontinence, which is the accidental leakage of urine when you cough, laugh, or exercise. About 110 participants will either get the real treatment or a sham (fake) treatment to compare results. The chair uses electromagnetic pulses to make the pelvic floor muscles contract, aiming to strengthen them and reduce leaks.
